How to show smaller roads on map in PTV Developer

Hi there,

today I've been asked the following question :

I have played around a bit with Maputnik.
I am looking to show more smaller roads in the map at a higher Zoom level.

The problem seems to be that Vector Maps API does not provide the layer for "display_class = 4" at a zoom level below 8.
Do you know if there is there a way to show "display_class = 4" roads at a zoom level 7 ( or smaller) ?

I can understand the usecase:

• Regional settings: In some regions the road network is not as dense as within populated areas in central Europe
• Analysis: Sometimes some analysis would be simplified with more data than usual just to identify the cause for an issue

From my understanding the current Vector API does not offer parameters to influence the detail level of the responses and probably we cannot just change the underlying definition.

Questions to DEV:

• Am I right?
• Would this be a meaningful extension?
