Further development of xServer 2 is mainly pushed via PTV Developer - we will not actively spend efforts on such a "cleanup" operation right now.

Re: xRuntime - Rendering profiles
Hello Irena, on the one hand I am not aware of a successor to the deprecated xRuntime2 Method com.ptvgroup.xserver.xruntime.ServerConfigurationRequest On the other hand I don't see any reason why we will actively remove this function. I will forward your question to development ands kindly ask them ...

xTour2 : potential experiences with output
Here's a distinct description of potential planTours calls... Behaviour also depends on combination of Server settings /xserver.conf): jobs { resultRetentionTime = 7d fetchedResultRetentionTime = 1h zombieRetentionTime = 1d jobQueueTimeout = -1 jobModuleTimeout = -1 } Request parameters override ser...

Re: mixed loading prohibition: split orders into truck versus trailer
In the context of xTour2 PTV Developer RouteOptimization API (MAINTENANCE!) PTV Developer SequenceOptimization API (MAINTENANCE!) The answer is "not possible"... For a statement in the context of PTV Developer RouteOptimization OptiFlow I requested the competence center to respond... Stay ...

mixed loading prohibition: split orders into truck versus trailer
Hi there, one of my partners is dealng with an xtour2 challenge that sounds like he could benefit from the mixed loading prohibition ( com.ptvgroup.xserver.xtour.MixedLoadingProhibition : Defines restrictions regarding which categories of orders are disallowed to be mixed on the same trip. Here's th...

Re: Successor of xTour1.toursMustFitIntoSingleOperatingInterval
Here' also an important sidenote, triggered by parties dealing with service technicians who usually make use of the V com.ptvgroup.xserver.xtour.VisitOrder class. As VisitOrders are not linked to Depots. As there are no depots there are no trip delimiting elements (check Tours and Trips ). No delimi...

Webhooks / Callbacks?
Hi there, here comes a generic question I'd like to answer in the context of different API versions: Does PTV API have webhooks support? Case: if we want to send a lot of request that we need to wait to be processed it would be good to receive responses when they are completed back to our system (ou...

Discontinuation of HERE Map Tile API (not Raster Tile API)
Hi there, ( :!: official DevBlog post :D ) as announced on dec 13th, 2024 , the HERE Map Tile API is now deprecated. Users of this API can no longer use the old URLs. This is not due to expired credentials but due to the deactivation of the old API services themselves. :!: If you are the owner of a ...

Re: Visualization of map scale
Here's also another aspect that might be relevant: Is it true that map frontends / libraries such as LEAFLET or OPENLAYERS hide the display of "scales" at higher zoom levels because, in a single map rectangle, the scaling per pixel varies too much across different latitudes? Yes, that’s es...

SpeedForLinkDistance and HPR handling
Cheers, these days I've been asked for the handling of speeds in xServer2. Roughly spoken the static speed approach is based on the following attributes within com.ptvgroup.xserver.vehicleprofile.Speeds [BR] speedRangesByNetworkClass (maximumSpeeds and minimumSpeeds) maximumSpeed speedForLinkDistanc...
