Hello guys,
An issue occurred related to the bcr file content. Is it possible to add type to Stations from a given list? Is there any existing feature to extend the type list with other items? We checked that now we are using "Standort" as the type of the Station.
Our goal is to use types such as Loading, Unloading, Parking, Refueling, etc.
Please share with us whether and how the type can be extended by the above options.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Daniel
Adding station type
Re: Adding station type
Hi Daniel,
in PTV Navigator we only know one type of Station, we don´t know any type of "goal" that you can reach using this station, I´m afraid.
I´m not sure what you are aiming for, in case you want to show a hint to the driver when he reaches a certain point you could dynamically use our Buddy-Feature for geofencing...are you aware of this option?
Kind regards,
Christa

Re: Adding station type
Dear Christa,
Thank you for your reply!
Our goal is to provide drivers with a list of remaining tasks.
In one of the forum's topics, we have found an uploaded pdf document called Guided Navigation - Transferring routes including traces to the Navigation. In this document, it is written in 3.1 section that the Station parameter is a mandatory field. The description of the field is the following: "The stations of a stationlist, describing what type of entry it is, (town/POI) and the link mode (use always 999999999 here for dynamic binding)". Currently, we fill this field in the following format:
STATION1=STANDORT,999999999
STATION2=STANDORT,999999999
STATION3=STANDORT,999999999
...
Is it possible to swap "Standort" to a type of task? So, we'd like to provide the drivers with the information of remaining tasks (Unloading, Parking, etc.). When the driver has finished a task (station), we'd like to show the remaining tasks on the driver's screen. Or should we include this information in the Description parameter? Like:
[DESCRIPTION]
STATION1=StartPosition
STATION2=Loading: Address of loading
STATION3=Parking: Address of parking
...
Do you think that the Buddy-Feature could be a solution for our above-mentioned need? Could you give us more detail about this feature?
Kind regards,
Daniel

Re: Adding station type
Hello Daniel,
after your confirmation what you are looking for, I think the Buddy Feature may be too much for your usecase. Please simply try putting all the details you want the driver to see in the descrption, this should work quite fine.

Christa
