today a customer asked whether the xServers are able to return a (x,y)-coordinate's height above sealevel (also known as absolute altitude).
There is no direct method available.
But maybe the following info is of value:
The routing methods in xRoute enable you to compute the altitude profile of a routing polygon.
Just request the ResultListOption.polygonElevations.
- Sample route from Karlsruhe(Germany) to Bolzano (Italy).
- Minimal route: waypointdesc coordinates are almost equal. Elevations almost at same level.
