Dear all,
we have some xServer news for you.
Release News:
• The PTV xServer 1.22 release is scheduled for next week on 1th of March. It will provide the following features:
General
• The feature layer PTV_TruckWaitingTimes is supported (including a sample layer for Luxembourg) by all xServers that support feature layers.
• The compatibility of map data and feature layer data (e.g. mixing different providers by mistake) is checked from PTV Europe City Map 2016.1 on (including all other map regions released afterwards).
xMap
• Updated the rendering profiles with different improvements (e.g. new display type for unpaved roads or new road signs in some Asian countries).
• New design for the one-way arrows.
xMapmatch
• A complete path (up to the end of the track) is returned for any successful request. If no stable path is available, the path with the best probability is returned.
• In case of slow speeds the heading consideration is improved by calculating the heading difference weight dynamically based on the input speed.
• The linking radius is extended if no track history is present (e.g. when coming from off road) to increase the chance finding the correct segment.
xRoute
• Toll costs for Belgium can be returned summed up by regions using the toll provider ID of the toll sections.
• A straight line can be used as exception path affecting all intersected segments of the map (e.g. to block them for the routing calculation).
• NGA emission factors 2015 for Australia are available.
xLocate
• Switched off frequency filtering for the alternative profile. This will improve the results if the input contains abbreviations, but may increase memory consumption and response times.
xTour
• From now on only tours with proper routings are planned and with the new switch useDirectDistanceFallback the old behaviour could still be used (e.g. to plan inaccessible orders with a direct distance approximation).
• The number of equipment and requirement flags is extended from 255 to 512.
PTV Content Update Service
• All downloads of a polling are deployed at the same time.
• The status database is deleted on servlet startup.
