Maximum number of stops of a tour

Deals with the web service platform called Drive&Arrive http://driveandarrive.ptvgroup.com/en/ that enables you and your stakeholders to stay up2date with the current transport's estimated time of arrival (ETA)

Hi all,

What is the maximum number of sequantial stops that DriveAndArrive is still able to process ETA for?

Cheers

Hello Baktash,

currently the maximum number of stops within a tour is set to 100.

Is this sufficient? If not: please give us more details (either in the forum or via direct email) about the scenario so we can have a look at possible solutions.

Best regards,

Bernd

Hello Bernd,

does this mean I can request the service for 100 different ETAs on tour?
Example: Atour consists of 100 stops that are created on PTV D&A. Truck is on the way to Stop 1. So I can query ETA for Stop 1, Stop 2....Stop 100?

Hello Baktash,

yes, that's correct:

Let's assume you provided
  • a given sequence of stops you want to visit within the tour
  • each stop is given with a service period (loading/unloading, sales appointment - whatever)
then our data modell adds those service periods to each partial route. This is why it is important to provide the service periods as realistic as possible (while the designed arrival times are more... "academic").

Best regards Bernd
