This forum deals with any kind of trip optimization based on xTour1, xTour2 and the Developer APIs "RouteOptimization" and "SequenceOptimization". No matter whether it is automatic planning or manual dispatching, refering to transport orders or service planning.

Overnight planning for more than 5 intervalls

Post by DKula »

Hi,

is it possible to do an overnight planning with more than 5 intervall? I have this situation with a customer where this will be better. If the planning need more time this is not critical in our case.

Best regards

Hello Dennis,

I talked to DEV about this. The number of combinations that have to be evaluated increases in a exponential way.
As the approach itself checks all the combinations (no heurstics in this part of the component) we can't provide a solution that is meaningful.

Sorry for that - it's just realistic...

...not my prefered answer but ok. Perhaps you could raise this topic from time to time and some of your mathematical genius will find a proper solution.
