In late 2021 we already updated our xServer internet systems with the 2022.1 maps so therefore you will face errors if your application requests the GTR.
Here's the timeline of the rollout of 2022.1H/T on production (thanks, Isabel!):
16.11.2021 EU City (Here/TLN), API v1
30.11.2021 World City (HERE), API v2 - European hosting center
01.12.2021 World City (HERE), API v2 - US hosting center
13.12.2021 EU City (Tomtom), API v1
01.03.2022 World City (Tomtom), API v1
Best regards,
Bernd
PS: GTR is enabling the routing engine to consider nation wide rules such as weekend lorry bans.

Now here's some real 2023 experience related to this:
As promised we stopped the production of the PTV GeneralTruckRestrictions layer AFTER the Premium 2021.2H map. So 2022.1H and later won't support GTR.
Furthermore the traffic infrastructure (Layer Delivery Server and underlying CUS technology) does not support PTV_TrafficIncidents for maps older than 2022.1H.
Check the following table in the context of August 2023 (latest map version is 2023.2H):
Map version
PTV_GeneralTruckRestrictions
PTV_TrafficIncidents
2021.1H
ok
error
2021.2H
ok
error
2022.1H
error
error
2022.2H
error
ok (till 16.10.2023)
2023.1H
error
ok
2023.2H
error
ok
Now if you count 1+1 together here's the consequence:
There's no valid map version that supports both PTV_TrafficIncidents AND PTV_GeneralTruckRestrictions at the same time.
Applications that try to request both data sources (usually in a single request) will run into an error.
In about 6 weeks from now (scheduled for 16.10.2023) we will shift the coverage of the traffic data from "2022.2H-2023.2H" to "2023.1H-2024.1H". So keep this in mind!
We therefore strictly recommend to remove the PTV_GeneralTruckRestrictions from any of your requests. If your server is running the latest maps you will at least benefit from the PTV_TrafficIncidents which are up2date.

does the new PTV Developer Routing API provide any data for lorry/truck bans on saturdays, sundays or weekends, similar to the discontinued GeneralTruckRestrictions layer?
Forwarded to product management and asked for an official statement...
