How to activate notification of new messages?

Hey there,

in the personal area > you can set that you can be informed about new notifications. I have set this to "Yes".
(Benachrichtige mich über neue Nachrichten: Ja)

Unfortunately, I do not receive any messages to the deposited email address. What am I doing wrong?

PS: I can see my E-Mail only here:
Profil > Regeistrierungsdetails ändern > E-Mail-Adresse.
The other fields are empty.

Hello Max,

the system is able to send you notifications under the following circumstances:

• You subscribed to a sub forum. Each new post or reply in the forum will trigger a notification.
• You subscribed to a post. Each reply to this post will trigger a notification.

To subscribe please

• enter the current focus (either the overview of a sub forum or a concrete thread/post)
• choose "subscribe" on the bottom of the page

  Subscribe to a single thread

You can also check your current subscriptions to threads and sub forums in your user control panel:

PS: if you are missing a notification in a context that is subscribed you might check your spam filter / junk folder, too
