Dear xServer Stakeholders,
the PTV xServer 2.8 is released! The highlights are:
o Content snapshot mechanism e.g. to consider long-term traffic incidents in high-performance routing
o Support of toll updates via PTV Content Update Service
o New routing violations based on combined transports (ferry or piggyback)
o Geocoding with new address attributes (district and subdistrict) and a preferred language choice
o Improved tour planning results and adaption of the algorithm to the customer’s needs
o Productive use of several former experimental features e.g. to get information about the installed map
Please note that the new version number is 2.8.1 including a last-minute bug that just missed the version 2.8.0 produced last week. The on-premise solution can be found here:
o Developer Zone (login required)
The PTV xServer 2.8 offers more than 50 changes (see release history), so you have quite a lot to try out … and probably you know what is now coming: Please give us feedback about your experience with the new version!
Regards, your xServer 2 teams
