Release of PTV xServer 2.38.0

Post by Bernd Welter »

Release of PTV xServer 2.38.0 (CVE!)

The PTV xServer and the PTV Content Update Service 2.38 is released!

Main reason for this release is a critical CVE. Fortunately, there was a fix available and we could update the affected third-party components with manageable effort. All features, improvements and bugfixes that were implemented since version 2.37 are included (see the release notes).

Technically there are many bugfixes and the following features:
  • xLocate: The performance of reverse geocoding for short distances is improved.
  • XRoute: Added the field 'continueInDirectionOfArrival' to the types 'OnRoadWaypoint' and 'OffRoadWaypoint' to keep the direction of the arrival at intermediate waypoints. Please note that this is experimental.
3 waypoints. Red icon is start and destination. Dark blue icon is intermediate waypoint. Depending on the flag continueInDirectionOfArrival the vehicle takes a huge detour to avoid unwanted local turning maneuver (blue route).

The on-premise solution can be found here:

The cloud solution PTV xServer internet will be updated today:
  • 18.09.25: Productive system hosted in Europe
  • 18.09.25: Productive system hosted in US
  • 18.09.25: Productive system hosted in Australia
Because of the above mentioned CVE, a release of PTV xServer 1 will also follow soon!
