Pickup vs Delivery

We have a Depot-Scenario, where the VAN gets loaded in the Depot. During the trip there are also shipments which have to be picked-up.
Is there any possiblity to say that he should first make deliveries until the VAN is i.e. at least 50% empty, before making any pickup?
In practice, it is unfortunately a problem if, for example, the VAN in the depot is 90% loaded, possibly makes 1-2 deliveries and then a pick-up. This is because the collected parcel is now on the VAN for the entire journey, making it difficult to unload...
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
thanks for your question. Unfortunately there is no such feature explicitly implemented and I don't see any solution to use the already existing features to cover your request properly.
I still give you some ideas to tackle this, but it strongly depends on your specific usecase and it does not cover the generic feature request at all:

If you in general want to deliver always first and then do pickups, you could use the 'tripSectionNumber' field at the location and duplicate locations by having pickup and delivery locations. If you set at all delivery locations the tripSectionNumber to 1 and to all pickup locations the tripSectionNumber to 2, it is ensured to always first do the deliveries and later do the pickups.

If you only have a few pickups you could also think about artificially increasing the size of the pickups by factor 2 e.g. such that you cannot load them that early. If you however have a lot of pickups and the vehicle should be full at the end of the trip, you will only have it half full and this approach also doesn't work.

I hope the hints might help.
Kind regards, Daniela
