One of my clients runs into the ROUTING_TOO_MANY_WAYPOINTS error when sending more than 250 waypoints via POST.
This is documented within the Technical Concept "Waypoints" (attention: such limits may be subject to change)...

Is there a generic recommendation how to tackle this limit?

Meanwhile I discussed this topic with product management. The limit is driven by some performance issues thyt would occur with an excessive number of waypoints in a single route.

In this specific customer's case it turned out that it was more an academic test of data but not a real usage scenario because even a parcel delivery driver won't require more than 250 stops in a single route.

But: if you have the need for more than 250 waypoints per route please get back to me and describe your usecase scenario.
For the moment we won't touch this limit.
