PTV Group - Logistics Forum

My partner is used to PTVxTour2 which offers just a small number of cost-influencing factors such as

• fixed vehicle costs
• vehicle costs per kilometer
• driver costs per hour
• hidden costs per unscheduled order

Now we've heard that there’s a very complex / flexible cost modell behind the optimization through OPTIFLOW. Would it be possible to consider the following factors / story per order?

• if the order is scheduled : “plus 0€” / no additional costs
• if the order isn’t scheduled : “plus xx €” (is that what we call "outsourcing costs"?)
• if the order is scheduled but the time window is violated by “x minutes” : “plus xy €” (with this being cheaper than outsourcing costs)

This approach would enable us to deal with our usual requirement: “order unscheduled” shall be seen as “more disliked than scheduled with small violations”...
