We are happy to announce the release of PTV Navigator 1.0.8!
What is new?
Hybrid with map download UI
• Download maps by country or region when connected to WiFi.
• Manage your maps in Settings -> Download when hybrid mode is enabled.
• Search, route & navigate independent of your Internet connection in the downloaded regions.
• Reduced data consumption when navigating in an area with active hybrid mode and downloaded map data.
• Automatically download a list of countries by using preference file with a list of ISO country codes. Please have a look at the API-documentation.
• Hybrid can be enabled in Settings -> System -> Connection Mode.

Route assistant
• View gas stations/parking/restaurants or shopping possibilities along the route.
• Easily view the details of a POI and add it as a stop.
• Configure the number of POIs displayed in the side bar and the maximum time you are willing to spend on a detour.
• Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and travel time for each stop. Click on the stop and the information is displayed on the banner and the camera zooms in on the stop.

Device description
• Request a device description from the user during setup. The option is displayed after logging in with the license key.
• Device description is synchronized with the backend.
• The device description can be viewed and searched in the Devices tab of the License Keys application in the backend.

General
• Performance improvements.
• Bugfixes.
• New preferences settings for map download and device description.
