guided navigation

Post by Tomasz Lotocki »

How does Guided Navigation react on a route that contains malicious BCR in terms of “is based on car” and then the NAVIGATION (with knowledge of truck attributes) is supposed to follow the car route with the 40t truck?

Hi Tomasz,

I understand this story as described below:
  • Imagine you compute the geometry in the backend with "low" restrictions, e.g. without TruckAttributes at all or with a simple vehicle (car).
  • Let's say the route therefore takes a bridge that is valid in the conditions above but not valid from the perspective of the navigation devices scope (mobile device set to TRUCK40T, truck attributes enabled).
  • The mobile device will bypass the truck restricted segments.
  • You can open weak lorry restrictions with a flag: Set FORGETWEAKLORRYRESTRICTIONS =1 in the client section of the bcr.
I hope this answers the question and I will also forward the thread to Sebastian ...
