When I install a map (e.g. TomTom) with a license key which limits the map to be detailed in a specific country, it seems that the folders for all the other countries will be empty or even not existing. But I think that the feature layer folders are populated with the data for the complete map (e.g. Europe Premium).
According to my experience with 2017.1T this recommends approx. 4.5 GB of disk space.
As disk space (especially in the CLOUD) is expensive I'm disappointed about this useless loss of space.
Did anybody made the same detection?
Is there a bug in the installation routine or did I miss a feature? Is there a setting to avoid feature layer data for non-licensed countries/regions?

Re: Maps: License scope and feature layers
Hello Mr X,
I forwarded your post to product management as a generic improvement.
From my understanding you should be able to remove the feature layer files of countries that are not needed.
Best regards,
Bernd
PS:
On a system with regular "local" disks this is probably not a big issue as the standard GB price is ridiculous compared to the map directory size. But I know that cloud based space or virtualized space within companies is charged per size and therefore crucial.

Re: Maps: License scope and feature layers
Dear Bernd
thank you for your interference/assistance.
I'll wait for the answer . . .
Looking to HDD it's not only a matter of disk-space itself. The question is simple: you like to update map to newer/newest version - what is usually a task of a few minutes - and your are facing the popup from PTV-Installer "There is not enough free space . . .".
I know your imagination allows you to complete my scenario
